Hawley Kobayashi, E-RYT 500, YACEP®
I hold a 500 E-RYT & YACEP and have around 2500 hours of yoga training and over 4000 hours of teaching. While my main teacher is my dear friend, Noah Maze, I am inspired and learn from so many others, my students included.
I love to study, practice, train and educate. For me, yoga is endless. There is always something to learn, more to know, something new. There is no right way but awwww, so many wrong ways. Not just one path, but endless maps. My love to share the little I know is a big love. I actually didn’t like yoga for a long time. It was something I thought I should love, but it just didn’t take. When I was about 40, I went to my first vinyasa yoga class. That was it, I was hooked.
I teach yoga, not one style, not just one way. I teach yoga for strength, mobility, stability, flexibility, sustainability and enjoyability. I teach yoga for mind and body health and longevity, consciously seeking serenity for the systems of the body through breath, movement and stillness.
I am a born and raised California girl. Married to one of the four loves of my life, the other three are my babies (19, 22 & 26). I’ve lived in Truckee, CA for almost 28 years and surround myself with family, friends and lots and lots of pets. I now also call El Pescadero , Mexico home. Where I hope to spend more and more of my time, especially when it’s cold in Tahoe, I’m just not a fan of the freeze!
